On International Women's Day (March 8, 2022), BOMA San Diego held our March membership meeting. There was a sell-out crowd filling the University Club’s ballroom. The program was centered on the hurdles overcome by and the achievements of female property managers.
For those of you I have yet to meet, I am Thor Emblem, and I am so honored to be your BOMA San Diego President.
Although we are facing an unconventional moment in time, please rest assured that BOMA San Diego remains committed to its members and advancing the interests of the commercial real estate industry.
In my previous newsletter remarks earlier in the year, I acknowledged that 2020 would be a landmark year. 2020 has certainly lived up to that declaration, but not for any reason we could have ever envisioned. COVID-19 has made our industry navigate unchartered territory, like never before in our lifetime.
"I can certainly attest that my participation in BOMA has not only enhanced my professional development, but it has made me a better leader, a better listener, a better collaborator, and a better friend." - BOMA San Diego President Amber Molina
Two years ago, I inherited the trust of industry colleagues and friends with the objective of advancing an institution upon which we all respect. As I step aside, not away, I wish to reflect upon what we have accomplished together.
