President’s Message

Dear BOMA Members,
As the year comes to a close, I look back on the theme we set when we started out: Driven for Success. The theme defined our BOMA Leaders, who worked tirelessly to brainstorm fresh content and renew engagement. They were absolutely driven for success. Our events, like our Women in Business Interview Series, Life Science Events, Foundations Course (the most well attended in years!), and our joint Economic Forecast Breakfast, provided ample opportunities for our members to connect and strengthen their working knowledge of the commercial real estate industry. Some of our evening events, like our Cornhole Tournament and ShoutHouse Shenanigans, allowed our members opportunities to network and get to know one another at a more lighthearted pace! These events don’t come out of thin air, and I’d like to take one opportunity to thank the large community of BOMA leaders that put tremendous energy into everything we do:

In addition to these events, there are numerous administrative tasks we improved this year. We put a tremendous effort into utilizing our website platform to its fullest extent, and for the first time ever, we are running all of our membership renewals, as well as the majority of accounts receivables through the online platform. This makes our reporting much more timely and efficient and simultaneously allows us to run an up-to-date financial analysis of every event.
Finally, we have refreshed our decade old name tags! It may seem small, and it’s possible you may have had a mis-print and you’re still waiting for a corrected badge. Please forgive us – AI has not taken over the industry quite yet and there are still humans on either end of the process. Our goal is that all corrected name badges are issued by the February 2025 luncheon. Take your name badge with you. Place it in the middle console of your vehicle and bring it to every BOMA event you attend next year! You can officially say goodbye to name tag stickers and help us be a little more sustainable. For these tremendous efforts that often go unnoticed and sometimes unappreciated, here’s a special shout out to the BOMA Office for continuing to corral us!
As always, thank you for your continued support throughout the year. Please continue to take advantage of all the opportunities we create to learn or connect with something or someone new. Enjoy the upcoming holidays – we look forward to ringing in 2025 with you!
