Is Your Building Ready for the Big One?
If an earthquake were to take place in San Diego, would you know the steps to take to ensure your building and tenants were safe?BOMA invites you to an Earthquake Preparedness Workshop on Friday, October 11 at the San Diego County of Operations Center. Taking place just days before the national earthquake drill, the Great Shake Out, BOMA will have guests participate in a real-life earthquake scenario and give best practices for dealing with an earthquake.
Moderated by Ryan Blum of Equity Office, guests will hear from a panel of emergency preparedness experts including: Kim Anthony, associate VP of DIC at ICW; Susan Lampson, attorney at law at Kimball, Tirey & St. Johns, LLP; Jim Arce, senior managing director at Cassidy Turley; Bradley Lowe, Hope-Amundson Structural Engineering; Michael Davis, Senior Emergency Services Coordinator at OES County of San Diego
Details:
- An earthquake scenario will be given to attendees to determine the best course of action for the safety of their building occupants- Panelists will offer tips and tools about how to improve these actions
- Attendees will gain valuable knowledge on how to prepare for earthquake emergency situations that could arise in a commercial building, and how to properly handle them
