BOMA San Diego: What is your role/responsibility at Kilroy Realty?
Kathy: Portfolio Administrator, San Diego Region – I assist the Property Managers in the SD region in completing financial/accounting reports and analysis, assist tenants directly with their leases and accounting, and provide support on various projects as needed.
BOMA San Diego: Tell us about your family and pets!
Kathy: I have two children – my son is 28 years old and working toward his goal of being a Registered Nurse, and my daughter is 17 years old and a high school senior. My mom lives with my daughter and I, three generations under one roof, and we love it! We have four dogs and a cat who all think they are humans!
BOMA San Diego: What was your first role and what ultimately got you interested in this field?
Kathy: My first role in property management was as a Property Accountant for a large shopping mall. With Kilroy, I’ve had the exciting opportunity to learn about office management as well.
BOMA San Diego: What are your top three goals for joining BOMA San Diego?

2) Getting fresh perspective on tenant relations (especially during challenging situations)

Kathy: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot.
