New Member Spotlight Featuring Alejandra Espinoza
Please welcome Alejandra Espinoza, our latest New Member Spotlight! Currently an Assistant Real Estate Manager at CBRE, Alejandra is part of the Programs & Seminars committee and has spent her quarantine cooking up a storm and watching the latest TikToks. Read our Q&A with Alejandra to learn more!
BOMA: Tell us about your role and responsibilities with CBRE.
Alejandra: I am currently an Assistant Real Estate Manager, where I assist our Real Estate manager, along with our two building engineers, in managing four office buildings owned by UCSD. I assist with tenant requests and administrative tasks including processing invoices, purchase orders and service provider contracts.
BOMA: What kind of buildings do you manage?
Alejandra: 261,385 sq. ft. Class A, four-building office campus.
BOMA: Tell us about your family and pets.
Alejandra: I have three siblings (all brothers!) and my family is very united. I currently do not have any pets but I love dogs and hope to have one… someday.
BOMA: What is your educational background?
Alejandra: I went to Point Loma Nazarene University and graduated in 2015. I have a bachelor’s in Nutrition & Health with a minor in Business Administration.
BOMA: What was your first role in real estate and what got you interested in this field?
Alejandra: I started working for CBRE in July 2016 when I was hired as a Real Estate Administrator. I was introduced to real estate by a close friend of mine, Seira who is also working in the field.
BOMA: What are your top three goals for joining BOMA San Diego?
Alejandra: My top three goals include: networking, learning from others, and applying what I have learned on a personal and professional level.
BOMA: What Committees have you joined or are interested in joining?
Alejandra: I have recently joined Programs & Seminars and I’m looking to see what other committees I may join next.
BOMA: What is your favorite part of the workday?
Alejandra: Definitely midday once I have already had my coffee, checked most of my emails and started my tasks for the day.
