We are pleased to welcome one of our newest members, Chris Huizenga! Currently the Director of Operations for Swift Real Estate Partners, Chris oversees property management for Swift’s Southern California portfolio and engineering for the entire Swift portfolio, in addition to expanding the Swift Property Management Platform. BOMA: What is your role at Swift Real Estate Partners?
Chris:

BOMA: What was your first job in commercial real estate?
Chris: I started as a Project Analyst for Hines at 101 California in San Francisco.
BOMA: How would your employees describe you?
Chris: This is a total trap question! My answer: “Fun, fair and focused.”
BOMA: What is your proudest career accomplishment?
Chris: My proudest accomplishment would have to be developing the bird abatement program at
Petco Park. Now you know who to thank for seagulls not showing up in the 7th inning of every home game like they do in San Francisco. You’re welcome.

Chris: Tom Hanks or Bill Murray.

BOMA: What is your role at Swift Real Estate Partners?
Chris:
- Oversee Property Management for our Southern California portfolio (2.7 MM SF; 9 assets) located in the following markets: Pasadena, El Segundo, Cerritos, Orange County, Del Mar Heights, Rancho Bernardo, Downtown San Diego).
- Oversee Engineering for the entire Swift portfolio (7.1 MM SF; 27 assets) located in Seattle/Bellevue, Portland, parts of the Bay Area and Southern California.
- Expanding the Swift Property Management Platform within our core markets and expanding to other MSAs (Metropolitan statistical areas) in the Western U.S.
