January New Member Spotlight
BOMA San Diego Welcomes Amanda of LandCare
BOMA welcomes one of its newest members, Amanda Joachim of LandCare. Amanda's only been a member for a couple of months but she's ready to jump right in. We had the chance to ask her a few questions--read on to find out more about her!
BOMA: What company do you work for and what is your role?
AJ: I work for LandCare as a Business Development Account Manager.
BOMA: Why did you join BOMA San Diego?
AJ: As I’m new to both the industry and to BOMA, I joined the association to meet new people, build relationships and to gain industry knowledge.
BOMA: What committees are you on or which ones are you interested in joining?
AJ: I am currently on the Special Events and Emerging Leaders/Membership Committee and loving every second of it!
BOMA: What are your goals for the next 30, 60 and 90 days in BOMA?
AJ: My goals for the next 30, 60, & 90 days are to continue to get more involved in the committees I’m already on and help plan the upcoming events, such as the February New Member Mixer and BOMA Annual Golf Tournament.
BOMA: What city did you grow up in? If in San Diego, what part of town?
AJ: I was born and raised in San Diego and grew up in East County, in the small town of Rancho San Diego. I left for a short time to live in Arizona but didn’t stay for long, nothing quite beats “America’s Finest City.”
BOMA: Describe your personality in three words.
AJ: Fun, upbeat and driven!
BOMA: What do you like to do in your free time?
AJ: My husband and I love to travel. From visiting our Nation’s National Parks to exploring different countries, cultures and food. We try to spend our holidays and weekends getting out and about and exploring something new.
BOMA: What are you looking forward to the most this year as a part of BOMA?
AJ: To continue to meet more people within BOMA and cultivate lasting professional relationships.
BOMA: What’s a fun fact most people don’t know about you?
AJ: I completed my first Spartan race last year and my goal for 2020 is to complete the Spartan Trifecta!
Happy to have you on board, Amanda. If you see her at future events, be sure to say hello!
