Stephanie Kingston is the Executive Vice President of Sandstrand Services, a privately owned, locally grown and managed, full service commercial janitorial company. Her responsibilities include business development, strategic marketing and branding, communications, customer retention, community relations, philanthropic efforts and seeking new arenas to grow the company. She assists in managing the overall day-to-day administration and operations functions with a small tight-knit management team.

Stephanie’s roster of experience is rather impressive. She has worked in strategic marketing and branding, corporate communications, public relations, customer relations, community outreach, social media, project management and special events production for 20 years. She assumed her role at Sandstrand Services after working in the City of Chula Vista’s City Manager/Communications Offices for 12 years, with previous employment has included Advanced Marketing Services, Universal Studios and Harcourt Brace & Company.

If her professional life doesn’t already leave your head spinning, Stephanie’s world travels and stints in some of the US’ most notable cities will. From San Diego to New York City, Los Angeles and Eugene, Oregon, Stephanie has called all these places home at one point or another. Additionally, her past world travels include Italy, Mexico, Fiji and Napa Valley.

Most people don’t know that Stephanie is a published author in the craft brewing industry under her maiden name or that she helped raise nearly $400,000 in a single month for the Chula Vista Nature Center when it faced closing its doors in 2008. Both of these items aside, Stephanie claims her three children, Liam, age 7, Cate, age 4, and Colin, age 2, are her proudest achievement.

In her spare time (when exactly, one might ask), Stephanie enjoys indulging in her guilty pleasure of diving into the huge stack of foodie magazines she always has nearby or reading the written word. Also, when she’s not scouting great places to eat, you can find Stephanie cooking up a storm with her mom in her kitchen or restaurant, and in turn, passing that passion down to her kids who love to help cook – and eat!
