BOMA San Diego’s newest member spotlight features Cassandra Ludden. Originally from Escondido, Cassandra represents the team at LandscapesUSA and has already jumped into BOMA San Diego by joining the Community Service committee. She’s a people-person at heart who enjoys hiking with her pup and beach cruising. Check out our Q&A with Cassandra to learn more about this new member!

BOMA San Diego: Where did you grow up?

Cassandra: I grew up in Escondido up the hill from the Escondido High School football field!

BOMA San Diego: What Company do you work for, how long have you worked there, and what led you to a career at that firm?

Cassandra: I work at LandscapesUSA, I started here 2 months ago. My LinkedIn profile caught the attention of the CEO and they called me for an interview. Before LandscapesUSA I worked in pest control, but plants and flowers are a lot more fun to work with than bugs… so although it meant leaving an exceptional group of coworkers, I embraced the change and I’m glad I did! The LandscapesUSA team is amazing and they have welcomed me with open arms!

BOMA San Diego: What are you hoping to learn through your BOMA experience?

Cassandra: I truly love people. I hope to build lifelong relationships in both my professional career and my personal life.

BOMA San Diego: What BOMA San Diego Committees are you active in or are there any that spark your interest?

Cassandra: I have joined the Community Service Committee and I look forward to participating in the good work they do.

BOMA San Diego: Describe your personality in 3 words.

Cassandra: Empathetic, loyal, trustworthy

BOMA San Diego: What are some of your hobbies?

Cassandra: I love biking, [but] not mountain biking, beach cruisers are more my style. I have a black German Shepard, Jack, whom I adore, and we often take hikes together on the weekends. I also collect minerals, mostly gemstones.

BOMA San Diego: What is your favorite inspirational quote?

Cassandra: “Strive not to be a success but rather to be of value.” - Albert Einstein

BOMA San Diego: Are you into music, podcasts, books, movies or television?  Any recommendations?

Cassandra: I just finished reading “Pound the Stone” by Joshua Medcalf. It is a very inspirational book and I highly recommend it. This book reminded me things of value are rarely obtained easily.

Welcome to BOMA San Diego, Cassandra!
