BOMA San Diego: What is your role/responsibility at FIRST ONSITE:
Lisa: As a Regional Business Development Manager, I am a liaison between FIRST ONSITE and regional and national customers. I execute the sales and marketing strategy and maintain relationships with customers and industry partners.
BOMA San Diego: Tell us about your family and pets:
Lisa: I’ve been married to my husband Andre since 1994. I’m a Mom to 3 kids—Evan, who just graduated from California Polytechnic State University in Construction Management; Luke, a junior at Utah Valley University who plays Division I baseball; and Sage, a senior at Coronado High School. We also have a fur baby, Indy, who is a 1 ½ year old Husky mix.
BOMA San Diego: What was your first role and what ultimately got you interested in this field?
Lisa: My first job was a part-time position at the Sears Customer Service Counter while in high school. Beginning with that job, my career has been customer service-focused, as I believe excellent customer service is the backbone of successful business relationships.
BOMA San Diego: What Committees have you joined or are interested in joining?
Lisa: I want to join the Emergency Preparedness and Sustainability Committee and the Community Service Committee. These groups align with my goals for joining BOMA which are to work with our BOMA members in committing to San Diego when the community has a need, as well as providing and identifying resources in emergency preparedness. I would like to become involved with these committees to achieve my goals coupled with BOMA's foundation to create knowledgeable industry leaders.
BOMA San Diego: What is your favorite part of the workday?
Lisa: My favorite part of the workday is when I can take time out to connect with my key relationship partners (such as BOMA members). It’s very rewarding to exchange best practices and some good laughs.
BOMA San Diego: What is a book you read that you would recommend?
Lisa: I recommend The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. This book is about the human condition told from the perspective of a tremendously loyal dog.
BOMA San Diego: What is a hobby you do outside of work?
Lisa: Travel is my passion. I've visited 40 countries, and have just 3 states left to visit, which are Alabama, Mississippi and South Dakota.
Thank you for the awesome introduction, Lisa! We are so excited to have you!
