Section: New Member Spotlight

We are excited to be highlighting Emily Krogman for our latest New Member Spotlight! Emily is RSI Roofing’s Marketing Coordinator and is a part of BOMA San Diego’s Membership and Emerging Leaders Committee. She actively plays volleyball and coaches high school girls. Welcome Emily!

BOMA San Diego: What is your role/responsibility at RSI Roofing?
Emily: I am the Marketing Coordinator for RSI. My roles/responsibilities include managing all content on digital platforms, building and strengthening client relations, and increasing visibility to RSI in a professional and meaningful way.

BOMA San Diego: Tell us about your family and pets!
Emily: I have the most incredible and supportive parents that I am extremely close with. And actually, my mom is Melanie Krogman from LandCare. I have a younger brother who is attending Grand Canyon University out in Arizona. We also have a family cat named Fuzzy who will be turning 15 this year!

BOMA San Diego: What did you get your degree in?
Emily: I was recruited to play indoor and beach volleyball at Mercer University out in Macon, Georgia, where I earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Management.

BOMA San Diego: What was your first role and what ultimately got you interested in this field?
Emily: My mom was the one who introduced me to this industry and to my boss years ago back when I was still in college. So, in the beginning of 2020, I was working as the Marketing Coordinator for Garden Communities when my now boss, Melanie Bamba Milinkevich, reached out to me about a job at RSI Roofing.

BOMA San Diego: What are your top three goals for joining BOMA San Diego?
Emily: Networking, learning more about the industry, and getting involved with committees.

BOMA San Diego: What committees have you joined or are interested in joining?
Emily: I have already joined the Membership and Emerging Leaders Committee which has been an absolute blast so far! I also am looking at joining the Emergency Preparedness and Sustainability Committee as Diana Cuevas is my BOMA Ambassador and she recruited me to that committee. 😊

BOMA San Diego: What is your favorite part of the workday?
Emily: I love going to work as each day is so different! Some days are more computer focused and I will be on zoom attending different committee meetings where I get to talk and interact with so many people. And other days I get to go out to our project sites to fly a drone for picture and video content. (It is like playing a video game!)

BOMA San Diego: What was the last thing watched (movie, show, video) that you would recommend?
Emily: Not a new show, but I started re-watching How I Met Your Mother. I watched the whole series years ago, but I started it up again and it is so good! Definitely one of my go-to sitcoms.

BOMA San Diego: What is a hobby you do outside of work?
Emily: Volleyball is still a part of my life; I coach high school girls which is a blast and I also try to play beach volleyball a couple times a week. I need to constantly be moving so I go to the gym, go on different hikes/trails, or walk on the beach. And I love a good happy hour!

Welcome to BOMA, Emily!
