2017 BOMA San Diego Board of Directors

As the Director of the Public Utilities Department, Halla is responsible for the daily operation of the City’s water, wastewater, and regional wastewater sub-system, including the future reliability of these services. Halla and her team maintain a grounded commitment to sustainability through recycling and reusing, producing renewable energy, and reducing water use and ocean discharge. Under her leadership, the department continues the planning and development of Pure Water, a system that will provide safe and cost effective water through potable reuse, increasing the local water supply and reliability while safeguarding the ocean through environmental protection.

We are proud to recognize Halla’s continued colloboration with BOMA members in the pursuit of cost effective sustainability and dedication to our city’s future.

Join us in 2017!

In order to best serve its 300 member companies and thousands of employees, BOMA San Diego works tirelessly to be a formidable force in policy debates, promoting and protecting the commercial real estate industry and our members. Every year, the California State Legislature introduces more than 2,000 new laws, and roughly 1/4 of those bills directly impact the commercial real estate industry.  These bills, in addition to locally proposed municipal code changes related to taxation, water, energy and land use can have significant impacts on commercial real estate’s ability to thrive. BOMA San Diego’s Government Affairs Committee promotes the interests of the commercial real estate industry through legislative analysis, advocacy and member education.  We routinely invite public officials to present to the GAC on issues of interest or proposals that could affect our industry.
