Pardon our dust while we are under construction:  The San Diego International Airport’s NEW Terminal 1 project is underway! The original Terminal 1 opened in 1967 with only 2.5 million passengers either leaving or arriving during its first year of being open. Now, there are over 11 million people annually that utilize this terminal. The new Administration Building is scheduled to open in late 2023, with the parking plaza opening in 2024 and Phase 1 of Terminal 1 to open in late 2025!

The new Terminal will have so many beautiful updates and features. Just to name a few: 11 new gates will be added, more shopping, dining, and gate area seating. And best of all, a new TSA checkpoint to help make going through security less stressful.
