Section: President's Message

This time of year is always exciting as friends and family members reach educational milestones and begin new chapters in their lives. It is equally rewarding to see the role BOMA San Diego has on the career development through educational offerings to its members. Congratulations to our most recent Foundations graduates and the 2018 Jack Moshgat scholarship recipients, Alina Talbott of Providien Property Management and Maru Cham of CBRE. Your dedication to coursework and commitment to professional development not only enhances your professional abilities and prospects but the health and strength of our entire industry.

Equally important to acknowledge are the companies who encouraged their employees to enroll, accommodated their absences to attend classes, and financially assisted their participation. Your investment in your employees is an investment in our industry. As noted during the May luncheon, 61% of property professionals will be retiring within the next five years – a daunting space to fill, an incredible opportunity for BOMA to support.

BOMA San Diego is a recognized leader in educating commercial real estate professionals and one of the driving factors of BOMA’s value to you and your company. Through structured classroom settings to on-hand practical training, BOMA San Diego provides diverse and relevant education that will help you grow in your career. If you have not taken advantage of an opportunity, I challenge you to do so.
