Section: President's Message

It is incredible how much of 2018 has already ticked by. In the first four months of the year, our Association has helped host the largest commercial real estate expo in the San Diego region, offered multiple BOMI courses, lobbied on Capitol Hill, engaged our community through volunteerism and recognition of leading figures, welcomed in new professionals through Emerging Leaders lunch and learn series and networking events, held another sold-out golf tournament, and highlighted upcoming trends in commercial real estate through a property tour of converted retail space. That’s a lot to be proud of.

The depth and diversity of our Association’s offerings directly reflect the contributions of our talented membership. As demanding as our regular work schedules are, it is inspiring to be able to both look back at the achievement BOMA San Diego has made through your contributions as well as anticipate the opportunities that lie ahead.

Our Association is hosting and/or in the planning stages for several not-to-be-missed events I encourage you to take advantage of:

Foundations of Real Estate Management: The amazing work of Rachel Willis, Tracey Perrelle, and the Education Committee are delivering the building blocks of property management for our developing professionals.

New Member Mixer: Providing an opportunity for our Associate Members to discuss how they can enhance the value of their membership and continue to be an effective voice within the Association, Rhonda Vicker and the Membership committee is hosting one of the most anticipated events for Associate members this month.

Emerging Leaders: Lunch and Learn Series Q2: Katie Kiedrowski and the incredible Emerging Leaders committee are hosting their second of four Lunch and Learn seminars focusing on HVAC systems. If your firm is looking to develop the next level of talent, I strongly encourage you to reach out to the committee and discover the educational opportunities available through the BOMA’s Emerging Leaders committee.

To get more involved, and to both enhance our Association and develop stronger relationships with your industry peers, I encourage you to find a committee that interests you, and contact the Chair. Click here to learn more and join a committee
