February President's Message
BOMA San Diego Committee Chairs, Vice Chairs and Board Members attended the Annual Leadership Retreat in January. The Retreat was hosted by Cindi Phallen of Create Possibility. Cindi customizes the program for BOMA, making us think about how we operate and how we can improve, increase member participation and work with our Emerging Leaders who are the future of the organization. If you are a committee member, look out for some creative changes at future meetings.
We were privileged to have Councilmember Mark Kersey attend our January luncheon to swear in the 2016 Board Members. He also attended our January Government Affairs Committee Meeting to talk about the Rebuild San Diego Infrastructure Amendment Measure and the City’s need for a dedicated funding source for repairs, replacement and upgrades to the City assets which are desperately needed. BOMA San Diego supports this plan and believes it is the responsible way to deal with infrastructure finances without raising taxes.
Be sure to sign up for the February luncheon to hear our very special guest speaker Mayor Faulconer, it will no doubt be a sold out event so don’t delay with registration and I look forward to seeing you there.
