Board of Directors Debrief: Lynn Hulbert, Providien Property Management
Q: How long have you been a member of BOMA San Diego?
A: I would guess nearly 20 years now, going back to Prentiss when we were sponsors.
Q: Why did you decide to join BOMA San Diego?
A: The company I worked for was a sponsor and wanted me to get involved.
Q: How has BOMA San Diego helped you personally in your career?
A: The education classes and peer networking are invaluable.
Q: How has BOMA San Diego helped your ownership, building or business?
A: I always make a point to try and “Buy BOMA”. The relationships I have formed with service providers and the networking with other managers is invaluable. There is always a resource to give advice or assistance in any situation that I find myself in.
Q: What are three things you like the best about being on the BOMA San Diego Board of Directors?
A: I love the fact that we are involved with making important decisions for the Association and it has given me all round more confidence. When you are empowered to make decisions and be a leader, it shows in all aspects of your life.
Q: What one piece of advice would you give to a new BOMA San Diego member?
A: Get involved in a committee and attend events. It is the absolute best way to get the maximum benefit from your membership. Also, be patient. Relationships are not formed in one meeting, it takes time but will be well worth it.
