Spring Work Party: Feeding America San Diego
BOMA San Diego's Community Service committee completed its annual Spring Work Party event at Feeding America San Diego on Thursday, April 27. The Spring Work Party was created a few years ago to give new and veteran Committee members, an opportunity to team build while giving back to the local community. The 18 person volunteer group worked together to sort through boxes of sweet potatoes and green beans to separate the good vegetables from the bad ones. In the end, Feeding San Diego reported BOMA members helped pack 4,544 pounds of food that will be distributed to 4 school pantries helping to feed 1,000 children.
Special thanks to Holly Jump from John Hancock Real Estate and James Jump from Stuart Dean for organizing this event.
