On April 7, the Community Service Committee joined the HandsOn Hoppy Service Project. Hosted at the Loma Club in Point Loma, there was live music, and great food and drinks with a percentage going to the project. The committee members made 9 no-sew fleece blankets for cancer patients to support YANA-Cancer Comfort.

YANA-Cancer Comfort has partnered with hospitals like Cancer Treatment Center of America, City of Hope, St. Joseph’s, Mission Hospital to send care packages to individual cancer patients as a reminder that they are not alone. Volunteer groups like Hands-On America, have made it a mission to hand tie blankets in order to touch the lives of people affected by cancer.
