Each year, two scholarships are awarded to deserving individuals in honor of Jack Moshgat, a BOMA past president who passed away many years ago. The purpose of the Jack Moshgat Scholarship is to recognize a deserving person's desire to pursue and expand a career in commercial real estate.

The scholarships can be used towards an RPA, FMA or SMA BOMI Institute class sponsored by BOMA San Diego (value $1,025) or the new BOMA Foundations of Real Estate Management courses (value $525).
Applicants are asked to complete the application attached and submit an essay addressing their desire for the scholarship award. Scholarships are awarded based on the strength and completeness of the essay, financial need and the individual’s involvement in BOMA.

Eligibility requirements:
•One year of experience in commercial real estate
•Employed or a resident in the BOMA San Diego service area
•BOMA San Diego membership required; active member or an employee of a member company
•The awarded registrants who use the scholarship for a BOMI course are also required to pay a one-time BOMI enrollment fee (currently $175).

Application requirements include completion of the scholarship application, as well as a personally composed letter addressing the applicant’s desire for the scholarship award.

Please submit applications to the Awards Committee in care of Jaimi Lomas at jlomas@aoreed.com no later than Friday, April 15, 2016. Prior applicants who have not received the Jack Moshgat scholarship are encouraged to reapply.
