BOMA's 2014 Expo was BOMAriffic!
The 2014 Annual BOMA Expo can be described with one word – Bomariffic! There were 45 vendors representing the full spectrum of products and services available to building operators and managers. With over 150 attendees the atmosphere had the feeling of a high school reunion. Many people had the opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues and catch up on personal and business matters. Many others used the opportunity to ignite new business connections and partnerships. There truly was something for everyone.
The Del Mar Marriott venue was an excellent choice as it was centrally located and provided every vendor an equal opportunity to demonstrate their products and services no matter where their booth was located. If your mouth was watering as you walked around the Expo you were not alone because the food was fantastic. As everyone enjoyed their hot lunch they were entertained with music from Sonia Miro of BioMed Realty and Barry Garson of J&M Keystone Restoration. Two lucky folks, Susan St. John of Scripps Health and Jesse Neville of CBRE, Inc. each walked away with a $500 gift card simply by visiting all the booths and having their Expo Bingo card completed and submitted.
The event also provided an opportunity to announce the BOMA Membership Scholarship. This scholarship encourages Principal Members whose companies no longer fund their BOMA memberships to become active members of BOMA. This year’s scholarship recipients were Brooke Hickerson with Cruzan, Gabriel Velin from The Packard Companies and Audrey Castro from Meissner Jacquet Commercial Real Estate Services.
A special thank you goes out to the all the Expo committee members that worked to provide a memorial and successful BOMAriffic experience.
