Amazing connections were made at this year’s Property Manager Mixer, hosted by the BOMA San Diego Annual Supporting Partners. Over 80+ property managers registered for the event and spent the afternoon networking with peers as well as representatives from our Annual Supporting Partner companies – all the while sipping creative cocktails and delicious appetizers!
One of the attendees was Evelyn Martinez, Assistant Property Manager (APM) at HP Investors. I had an opportunity to ask Evelyn a few questions about her experience at the Mixer and here’s what she had to say:
BOMA San Diego: What drew you to the event?
Evelyn: The Property Manager Mixer in 2019 was the first BOMA event I attended. At that time, I only knew a handful of people. Thanks to my involvement in the Membership & Emerging Leaders Committee I now know many wonderful people.
BOMA San Diego: What was the interaction like? Did you meet new managers and/or vendors? Did you reconnect with friends?
Evelyn: At the event this year I got to introduce Mariah Soliman with South Shore Building Services to all the people I now know. It was great to be able to help someone feel welcomed.
BOMA San Diego: What was the biggest benefit for you attending from an APM’s point of view?
Evelyn: For me the biggest benefit is getting to meet other APM's. The ones I met in BOMA have been great resources and friends.
BOMA San Diego: What did you think of the venue?
Evelyn: The venue was great. I look forward to going back and trying one of the other restaurants.
BOMA San Diego: Why should managers go next year?
Evelyn: Managers should attend the mixer next year because it's a chance to meet managers you may never otherwise get a chance to connect with.
Thank you to Evelyn and all the Property Manager Mixer attendees! We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.
