The Community Service committee focused their attention on drivers that would increase charity visibility for the organization and support
long lasting relationships with BOMA community partners. The committee ended the year on a high note with four successful community events: Feeding San Diego, Summer Work Party, Annual Back-to-School Drive and Holiday Gift Drive. Thank you to our members, colleagues and the public for your continued support and contributions this year.

Feeding San Diego

Once again, we worked with one of our favorite charity organizations, Feeding San Diego. It was a fulfilling way to acquaint new members with seasoned veterans in an all-hands project serving our community.

Summer Work Party at Wm J Oaks Boys & Girls Club

Over 50 volunteers attended this event. Projects included painting, cleaning, landscaping, replacing old equipment, introducing the buddy bench, and installing a veggie garden. We appreciate all the donations made from the BOMA community, to make the event a huge success.

Annual Back-To-School Drive benefiting Promises2kids

For the Back-To-School Drive, we collected 937 backpacks and lunch bags, 6,917 school supplies, and $3,052 in monetary donations!  All items were distributed just in time for the new school year.

Holiday Gift Drive benefiting Promises2kids

Last year, we collected a total of 13,504 gifts and 313 gift cards totaling $5,735. With this contribution, we were able to spread Holiday cheer to more foster youth in San Diego!

Our Committee members really do have the attitude: “it is better to give than to receive. For in giving, the donor received just as much or more than the person receiving the gifts."
