Annual Golf Tournament Was 18 Shades of Fun
The 18 Shades of Green tournament kicked off with Tanquizas Guadarrama's breakfast burritos, courtesy of Bill Howe Plumbing, and Four Season's Tree Care's brunch sponsorship. After checking in, players headed to Paragon Engineering’s table to grab their goody bag, distributed by the bag sponsor's very own Jack Bennings, which was overflowing with golf balls, tees, koozies, sunscreen, lip balm and a Maui Fusion tumbler provided by the title sponsor, ABM. Special thank you to all who donated to the player gift bags: ABM, AMS Paving, Clemlowe, Dowling Construction, Georgia Pacific, Gothic Landscape, J&M Keystone Restoration Services, Paragon Engineering, Pegasus, RSI Roofing & Solar, Sandstrand and SoCal Signs.
Twin Oaks spearheaded a rather unorthodox putting contest... all participants formed a large circle around the green. On the count of 3, all players putted their balls, hoping they had the best stroke and willing their ball to drop in. Dennis Howard with Thyssenkrupp took home the trophy and $100 gift card thanks to putting sponsor ACE Parking Services. Check out the video of the putting contest!
A 10 AM shotgun sent our players off to various parts of the course. Where several tee sponsors eagerly awaited! Throughout the day, golfers were treated with Annabelle's Famous Lumpia, homemade sweet treats, hot dogs, pulled pork and tri-tip sandwiches. Margaritas, fireball, and fancy-water ensured all players remained hydrated and a green-slushy machine was even spotted on hole #18! A tournament wouldn't be complete without a raffle and closing remarks. Alicia Love, with title sponsor ABM, read off the raffle donations & winners. Rhonda Vicker with Meissner Jacquet was very lucky-- winning 4 prizes! A few of the prizes included a 60" TV donated by C&I Roofing, a Ping Putter donated by A.O. Reed and a Taylor Made Driver donated by Gothic Landscape.
Congratulations to ABM’s 4some Carlos Murrieta, Lance Graville, Ken Hoving and Mary Cochran for winning 1st place at the tournament. 2nd place was secured by PMS Janitorial’s 4some— Phil Senescall, Jeff Blodgett, Mark Presho and Chris Sanders. Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2018 tournament.
