2015 Local TOBY Award Winners

The San Diego Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) announced the winners for the local level of “The Outstanding Building of the Year” (TOBY) awards at the organization’s recent TOBY and Membership Awards Gala. A celebrated tradition in the commercial real estate industry, the TOBY Awards are the most prestigious and comprehensive of their kind, and recognize quality in office buildings and reward excellence in property management.

“I’d like to congratulate the 2015 local TOBY Award Winners,” said BOMA San Diego President Kristin Howell of Meissner Jacquet Commercial Real Estate Services. “These properties have gone above and beyond commercial real estate standards in San Diego and we are thrilled to see our members demonstrating such outstanding property management.”

The following properties are local winners for The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) awards for 2015:

  • 100,000 – 249,999 SF Category: 4225 Executive Square, managed by Madalyn Wariner of The Irvine Company LLC and owned by The Irvine Company LLC.

  • 250,000 – 499,999 SF Category:  La Jolla Commons, managed by Teri Osokie of Hines and owned by JP Morgan.

  • 500,000 – 1,000,000 SF Category: Symphony Towers managed by Traci Pietras of The Irvine Company LLC and owned by The Irvine Company LLC.

  • Corporate Facility Category: Del Mar Corporate Center III, managed by Bernadette Blanco of Kilroy Realty Corporation and owned by Kilroy Realty Corporation.
     

These local winners will advance to the regional competition where one winner from each local competition will advance to the eight regional competitions. The winners of the regional contests will then advance to the international competition where one winner will be awarded the prestigious BOMA International TOBY Award at the 2016 Every Building Conference & Expo to be held on June 25 – 28 in Washington D.C.
