Congratulations to Cybele Thompson, the City's New Department Director for the Real Estate Assets Department

BOMA San Diego would like to congratulate Cybele Thompson on her new position as the Department Director for the Real Estate Assets Department.
 
Cybele will be joining the City of San Diego after serving as the Director of Client Solutions for Cushman & Wakefield in Los Angeles for the past seven years. In that capacity she oversaw the development, operations and leasing of distressed assets for clients throughout southern California including many Fortune 500 companies. With 25 years of experience in commercial real estate leasing, operations, and construction management throughout San Diego County and southern California she has an established reputation of excellent customer service, responsiveness and leadership. As an asset manager, her clients have reinforced her reputation for maximizing asset value and minimizing risk for property owners and lenders.
 
She has a track record of industry and community involvement having served as a past president of the Building Owners & Managers Association of California (BOMA) as well as past president of the San Diego BOMA chapter and various role in the Los Angeles BOMA chapter. Cybele has also been a member of the San Diego Police Department’s Crisis Intervention Team since 2003 and was previously on the board of directors for the Big Sister League.
Cybele began her career in the hospitality industry as a hospitality and real estate consultant after earning a BS in Real Estate and Finance from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
