Volunteer for BOMA's Summer Work Party!

Thursday, July 22, 2010

This year, BOMA San Diego will be helping the Salvation Army Door of Hope. The Salvation Army Door of Hope is a worthy community organization in San Diego known for its work to serve foster-care teen mothers and their infants. The program provides a licensed group home for the teen mothers who are dependents or wards of the court. Residents attend high school and receive individual and group therapy focusing on parenting, career planning, women's issues and independent living skills. Infant and toddler care is also provided. The program also works with juvenile court and child protective services.

We need AT LEAST 50 volunteers to make this happen! Bring a friend, family member or colleagues!

This summer in San Diego, we have a wonderful opportunity to help out a very worthy group.  It has been a hard year for many of us and one way we can all help is to be a part of something larger than ourselves.

This year, the BOMA Community Service Committee has chosen the Salvation Army, Door of Hope as our summer work project. The Door of Hope serves foster care teen girls and young mothers providing them with a safe, healthy living environment.
