On behalf of the TOBY Awards Committee, I would like to invite you to nominate your building or a fellow BOMA member’s building for the 2010-2011 BOMA San Diego TOBY (The Office Building of the Year) Awards competition. This competition highlights the best buildings in San Diego for the highest excellence in building management. The office categories range from a variety of sizes, corporate facilities, medical and industrial office buildings.

If you are a property manager or service vendor and you work on a building that you believe exemplifies excellence in any of the areas of building management, aesthetics, quality building staff, tenant relations, community relations, technology, energy efficiency or green initiatives, we would encourage that you consider nominating your building.

In these turbulent economic times, it is paramount that building owners and managers take the opportunity to showcase their building for all to appreciate and honor.  Prospective and existing tenants want to be in a building that distinguishes itself from the competition. All winners will receive the illustrious TOBY Award to be presented at the BOMA Winter Gala awards event. The recognition and press coverage received is outstanding, and the personal achievement and accolades on a professional level in being involved with a winning building are unmatched. 

In recent years, BOMA San Diego has sent three buildings on to win the Pacific Southwest Regional Award and from there, on to the International Awards where two of the three buildings won:

•    Lisa Gualco/PM Realty/Hazard Center – Local/Regional/International Winner
•    Joy Cole/Brandywine/Pacific Ridge Corp. Center – Local/Regional/International Winner
•    Sonia Miró/RREEF/Emerald Plaza – Local/Regional Winner
