Job Title: Marketing Manager

American Assets, Inc. (AAI) is currently seeking a Marketing Manager. The position will report to the AAI Commercial Management team at its headquarters in San Diego, CA.

Job Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Marketing and 3 to 5 years experience in Commercial Real Estate. The purpose of the position will be to assist in the corporate communication and marketing of the Company. This position will be integral to the implementation and coordination of the marketing plans developed. Web development knowledge a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies.
• Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings.
• Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost.
• Compile lists describing service offerings.
• Confer with legal staff to resolve problems.
• Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
• Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure profitability.

AAI is a private company that acts as the parent company for a diverse group of businesses operating primarily in the real estate, banking, insurance and investment management industries. Throughout our 36-year history, we have been successful as both a developer and acquirer of commercial real estate assets (office, retail and industrial) and for-rent apartment communities. Our current holdings include 8 stabilized office properties (with approximately 1.2mm sf of GLA), 11 community oriented and lifestyle shopping centers (with approximately 2.7mm sf of GLA), 5 apartment communities (comprising over 1,079 units), and 4 office development projects that will represent approximately 710,486 sf of GLA when completed. Our assets are directly controlled by AAI. The Company has primarily focused its real estate investments in the San Diego MSA. We have strong relationships with some of the world’s largest financial institutions, including Citigroup, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley.
